Teen Maze

September 26-27, 2012

The Teen Maze promotes awareness and urges the students to think about potential consequences of risky behavior and decisions based on various situations. Teens navigate from one station to another while experiencing lifelike situations. The situations are based on choices drawn at each station. Choices include consequences of teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease, underage drinking, drug use, judicial system with possible jail time, death or remain abstinent throughout the maze. The student may “choose” not to drink or use drugs, and graduate to have a successful future. The ultimate goal of Teen Maze is timely high school graduation.

The Turner County School Based Health Clinic is the result of years of planning on behalf of Turner County Connection-Communities In Schools of Turner County and Turner County Board of Education.   Phase 1 of the clinic is to serve students and staff at the elementary school via TeleHealth.  The equipment for the clinic is being funded by Tift Regional Medical Center.  Techincal support is being provided by the Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth.
